This site is dedicated to the memory of Sheila Fyfe.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a fatal disease of the nervous system. The cause of the disease is unknown and there is no cure. It attacks the nerve cells that send messages from the brain to the muscles. As these cells gradually die, the muscles stop working. The body slowly deteriorates, and sufferers lose the ability to move their limbs, talk and swallow. Sheila Fyfe was diagnosed with MND in January 1996 and she died on September 21st 1999. Those who were lucky enough to know Sheila will doubtless remember her sharp wit, bright vigour, and that mischievous sparkle in her eye. But above all, it is her courage and fortitude during her fierce battle with MND that will forever stand as a monument to us all. This fund has been set up to honour Sheila’s memory and raise funds to support the MND association and help find a cure for this dreadful, debilitating disease. All money raised on these pages will be earmarked as being donations made via this Tribute Fund when they reach Motor Neurone Disease Association. Simply choose one of the links above to see what you can do. If you like, you can also sign the guest book and tell other people about this service. Kind Regards, Katie Fyfe
